Details
This will be a two-hour ride, maybe longer, starting at 4:00 PM sharp. Please come at 3:30 PM so you can meet the other riders and get set up. It takes some time to get out to the property, which is a house with the horses in the back. You will ride quality trail horses; experience the Palos Verde Peninsula with an experienced guide? In addition you will learn about the flora, fauna and native history from the guides.
Some previous riding experience is required, even if it was years ago, as we will be galloping the horses on the trail. If you are interested in lessons contact Lisa Rodriguez, Rosepine Ranch, Newport Beach.
The ride costs $100 and you must bring cash, they do not take credit cards. The cell phone of the owner Pat is (310) 567-3582, call to ride anytime and tell them you are from the Meetup group. After the ride you can hang out and listen to country western music and visit with the horses and Pat. Call for directions or use your GPS, it may tell you the address is in Palos Verdes.
Other Meetup groups may join us such as Orange County Horse Adventurers. http://horses.meetup.... If this is full check at that Meetup.
They have 21 well-trained horses so they have a horse for any size, ability and weight.
We will have a barbecue after the ride with hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks.
Visit Wagonwheel Ranch web site to see the horses.

"What a GORGEOUS ride! At various points, you saw the LA skyline, Catalina, meadows of flowers and lot of beautiful homes. Come prepared knowing that this is an advanced ride - two hours of hilly terrain is a long ride if you haven't saddled up recently."

Gerry Grant
"Wild crazy ride, great fun."
