Hope is Not a Strategy for Tough Times - How Smart Marketing Can Deliver Results
Presented by James F. Dawson, CBC
President
Dawson Marketing Group
Southlake, TX
Meeting Date: Monday, May 19, 2008
Pre-Registration ends on Friday, May 16th.
Please RSVP early as we are expecting a large turn-out.
As the media reports more "doom & gloom" gas prices, mortgage rates, fears of inflation and more, marketers are faced with a dilemma:
? To hunker down, cut spending and wait for the storm to pass, or
? Stay the course and hope against hope that things change for the better?
On Monday, May 19, we will step back and take a 360 degree view of marketing in today?s challenging times by looking to see what respected marketing studies from the Harvard Business School and Marketing Science Institute have long heralded as the error in short-term cuts at the expense of long-term gains and the negative impact on brand value; look to see how the present market situation can be viewed as an opportunity to make inroads in new or existing markets; and establish why the cut backs will leave a far less cluttered and competitive marketplace. Find out:
1. What should marketers do to balance short-term issues with long-term needs?
2. How can you take a ?smart approach? to marketing, to stay the course and not mortgage the future?
Attend the BMA luncheon and we guarantee you?ll leave with tangible marketing suggestions and ideas you can implement immediately. Of course, if your strategy involves hope, maybe you can hope your competition won?t attend this event.
